Today I pray, that tomorrow I will think before I speak

Oh, how difficult it is sometimes to choose words with wisdom and pursue a pure heart.
A hard day at work. Difficulties after difficulties. I felt so frustrated and angry when it seemed, that everything went wrong. I said things, that I shouldn´t have said and acted like I did not want to act. Why is it, that sometimes the world seems to take over. Although I know, that Jesus has won the world. Help me dear Lord to pray first for wisdom that comes from you, before I act. Please forgive me for the sins of my mouth today. Wash me clean with your precious blood. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Can you hear His voice?

Hebrews 3:15 says:

while it is said, "Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked me."

Jesus is calling for us. He is calling for you, so He could be with you. He would like to have a close relationship with you today. Don´t wait until tomorrow, or next year. Take Him by the hand and let Him enter your heart. He will make all things new. He can wash away all your sins and you can be free. And the more time you spend with Him and in His presence, the better you will hear His voice. He will guide you, comfort you and lead your way, so you will not have to worry about making the wrong decisions.

Hebrews 10:16

"This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

Blessed are the peacemakers

Before I started this blog, I got to an argument with a young girl living in next door .
She and her friends tended to gather on a parking area of our yard just beside my apartment.
They parked a car there, listened to very loud music and were extremely noisy in an offensive way.
My dogs went just crazy about all this noice and barked and were very agitated. I listened to it for an hour or two and then decided to go out and speak to them. I kindly asked them to turn the car stereo lower and  move the car further from my fence. They said okay and after awhile they left.
On the next evening the same was repeated. Now I was already quite angry, as I went to them to ask to stop the noice. They turned off the volume a bit, but did not leave.
Then after a couple of days there they were again. I was furious. I took a pen and a notebook and wrote down the licence plate number of their car and I yell to them, that I will complain about them to the chief of our condominium. The young lady just glanced at me and said "whatever".
I felt so bad after that event. I had been so mad and full of rage. It was not right. Should a believer act like this? NO!
I prayed for wisdom and courage to meet these young people once more, so I could apologise for my bad behaviour. After a few days they came to the parking area and parked their car far away from my yard. Just like I had asked them to. It made me glad, but I had to go and speak to them. So I put my coat on and went there. I knocked to the car window and a young man opened it. I said: " Hi! I had to come and say that I am sorry for being so harsh. Thank you for parking the car so far from my yard. Now the dogs are restful and don´t bark at all. Once more, I´m sorry for my bad behaviour and if you wish, you can come and have a cup of coffee at my house some day."
Oh, what smiles and happy faces I saw. They were surprised, but also very pleased. They apologised to me as well. Praise the Lord! I could not have done this without the strength from God an Holy Spirit. Since that night there has been no disturbance whatsoever.

Blessed are the peacemakers,   for they will be called children of God.

Beatitudes

Inspiration song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRPGRdbGHSs

This is the song, that started to inspire me.

One special night

This blog was inspired by the beautiful song "I can only imagine" from MercyMe.
I woke up one night and had this clear vision about how I should start a blog and write down my thoughts about my faith. The words of the song made me think about heaven and what it will be like, when I finally get to go to my eternal home. Then I can meet my wonderful Savior at last, but who else will I meet there. Friends, relatives, but maybe many that I didn´t treat so well as I should have.
Should I change my attitude towards others right now. Not tomorrow or next week, but today. So that when the day comes, when it´s time to go, there would not be any unsolved arguments. No bitterness. Only hope and joy.
