Blessed are the peacemakers

Before I started this blog, I got to an argument with a young girl living in next door .
She and her friends tended to gather on a parking area of our yard just beside my apartment.
They parked a car there, listened to very loud music and were extremely noisy in an offensive way.
My dogs went just crazy about all this noice and barked and were very agitated. I listened to it for an hour or two and then decided to go out and speak to them. I kindly asked them to turn the car stereo lower and  move the car further from my fence. They said okay and after awhile they left.
On the next evening the same was repeated. Now I was already quite angry, as I went to them to ask to stop the noice. They turned off the volume a bit, but did not leave.
Then after a couple of days there they were again. I was furious. I took a pen and a notebook and wrote down the licence plate number of their car and I yell to them, that I will complain about them to the chief of our condominium. The young lady just glanced at me and said "whatever".
I felt so bad after that event. I had been so mad and full of rage. It was not right. Should a believer act like this? NO!
I prayed for wisdom and courage to meet these young people once more, so I could apologise for my bad behaviour. After a few days they came to the parking area and parked their car far away from my yard. Just like I had asked them to. It made me glad, but I had to go and speak to them. So I put my coat on and went there. I knocked to the car window and a young man opened it. I said: " Hi! I had to come and say that I am sorry for being so harsh. Thank you for parking the car so far from my yard. Now the dogs are restful and don´t bark at all. Once more, I´m sorry for my bad behaviour and if you wish, you can come and have a cup of coffee at my house some day."
Oh, what smiles and happy faces I saw. They were surprised, but also very pleased. They apologised to me as well. Praise the Lord! I could not have done this without the strength from God an Holy Spirit. Since that night there has been no disturbance whatsoever.

Blessed are the peacemakers,   for they will be called children of God.
